Introduction

 Welcome to the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra, the second oldest Institute of Technology in independent India, founded in 1955 by the visionary industrialist and philanthropist Mr. B.M. Birla. BIT Mesra is located in Ranchi, the capital of the State of Jharkhand, the mineral hub and abode of serene beauty of natural forests, mountains and waterfalls. In more than six decades of its glorious existence, this Institute, recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as a deemed to be University in 1986 under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, has emerged as one of the top most self-financed or private Engineering Institution catering to both traditional engineering disciplines and emerging technological domains with firm foundation in fundamental sciences and orientation toward modern innovations and applications.

We were the first in the nation to establish a Department of Space Engineering and Rocketry in 1964 equipped with static rocket test firing facility in association with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to augment the national space mission. BIT initiated the concept of small manufacturing enterprises in 1970 by establishing the Small Industries Research and Development Organization (SIRDO). Possibly this is the first example of Science and Technological Entrepreneurs Park (STEP) in the country subsequently conceptualized and established by the Government of India in several IITs.

• BHMCT candidates must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with English as a subject
• For B.Tech pass in Class 12 / equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and having at least 60% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) marks in an average of 4 subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. The entry into this course is through the NTA-JEE-Mains entrance examination.
• BPHARM Candidates must have appeared in JEE or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent qualifying examination. Application Process 2023

The application process is an online process for which a student must log in to the official website and purchase the application by paying the application fees and submitting the same to continue with the admission process and shall confirm the seat by paying the registration fee as per the BIT Mesra fee structure. One must fill out the Birla Institute of Technology application form 2023 accurately and submit till before the due date.

To get BIT Mesra admission to any course the candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps

• Step 2: Click on 'Apply Online' to register.
• Step 3: Create a password for the application and do the online process.

• Step 5: Pay the application fee of INR 2,500 via ICICI Payment Gateway.

BIT Mesra cutoff 2022 has been released for the courses like BTech, B.Sc, and B.Arch, which are based on JEE Main 2022. The institute offers various courses, and admission to B.Arch and BTech is based on the ranks secured by the candidates in JEE Main 2022 paper two and JEE Main 2022. The JEE Main cutoff rank in Birla Institute of Technology is 18880 for the B.Tech course. Candidates who qualify in JEE Main are allowed to participate in JoSAA counselling 2022. During the counselling, two additional Mock Seat Allotment Rounds will help candidates make correct choices for the allotment rounds. The institute has yet to release the MBA BIT Mesra cutoff, and the candidates are shortlisted based on CAT, MAT, and CMAT scores, followed by the GD and PI rounds. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute with a minimum aggregate of 50 percentile. BIT Mesra placement cell focuses on enhancing the soft skills of the children. To prepare the students for campus employment, the Training and Placement Cell at BIT Mesra also arranges various industrial visits and guest lectures. During 2021-22, the BIT Mesra Campus Recruitment Programme maintained its strong position with visits from 235 recruiters across all campuses and achieved an overall target of 1257 job offers. The BIT Mesra campus recorded an average package of INR 13.01 lakhs per annum and the highest national salary of INR 58.33 lakhs per annum for BE Programme.

BIT Mesra placement cell works on bridging the gap between the industry and students.They are major responsible for conducting pre-placement talks,seminars,industry workshops and campus placements.

Placement Process

The BIT Mesra placement process consists of the following steps listed below.

• Formal invitations are sent across the organizations from the Training and Placement Cell for participation.
• Companies revert with the Job Application Form (JAF).
• Based on TAF, the eligibility, job description and other details are published on the T&P portal.
• Interested students get themselves registered for a particular job.
• Dates are finalized for company visited and candidate details are shared with the companies.
• Companies conduct GD/PI and interviews.
• The final shortlisted students are shared with the institute by the companies.
• The offer letters are rolled out before the session ends.
